Rohtak MP and Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda said that youth have rejected the divisive agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, which has failed on the development and employment front, and wanted a change.

Speaking at the first “Chhatra Panchayat” in the Maharshi Dayanand University of Rohtak on Friday, Mr. Hooda said that the BJP had made tall promises to mislead the youth of the country, but the hollowness of their promises and bankruptcy of their ideas was now exposed.

Job promises

Launching a frontal attack on the BJP government, Mr. Hooda said that a reply to an RTI application, filed a few days ago, had completely exposed the BJP government in the State.

The government had admitted that while 12,000 youth were provided jobs annually in the industrial sector during the Hooda government, the number had come down to just 1,000 under the current BJP government in the State. He said that the government defaulted on its electoral promise.
