The BJP and expelled AAP leader Yogendra Yadav on Saturday attacked the AAP leadership for suspending its two MPs from Punjab, saying that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was not comfortable with any other tall leader in the party.
The AAP , however, defended its decision to suspend two of its four Punjab MPs, saying that the duo had joined hands with the BJP-Akali Dal combine. The BJP Accused the Chief Minister of not ‘practising’ what he preaches to others, and said he should first set his own house in order before going to Bihar. “Mr. Kejriwal would say that an organisation or party should function in a democratic manner. He would say that his fight is against corruption. But today he is joining hands with Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress. So he does not practise what he preaches,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
Swaraj Abhiyan leader Mr. Yadav said that the AAP’s Delhi leadership was ‘scared’ of any tall leader in the party.
“The party’s Delhi leadership is scared. It is scared of any leader who is tall, who has self-respect. It is scared of truth and it is scared of its own volunteers who today demonstrated that they would not accept the whims and fancies of Delhi Durbar,” Mr. Yadav said. — PTI
