Several contingents of the Delhi BJP leaders surveyed the Capital's waterlogged areas on Saturday and followed it up with appeals to the government departments concerned to remedy the situation.

North East district in-charge Jayendra Dabas surveyed the Kanjhawala area while the party’s national secretary Sardar R.P. Singh surveyed Pusa Road in Central Delhi.

Complaints

Both Mr. Dabas and Mr. Singh demanded that the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and the Public Works Department (PWD) get their act together in relation to the waterlogged streets at the locations surveyed by them.

Local Councillor Ashish Sood lodged a formal complaint regarding waterlogging at the Janakpuri East Metro Station, while former east Delhi Mayor Harsh Malhotra lodged his protest about waterlogging at Mansarovar Park.

The issue of waterlogging between Lajpat Nagar Metro Station and Moolchand was broached in a complaint to DJB officials by former south Delhi Mayor Savita Gupta.
