A 28-year-old woman, a native of Manipur, was allegedly hit with a brick by an auto-driver in south-east Delhi’s Sunlight Colony on Wednesday following an argument over fare.
The woman told the police that she had stopped the auto to go to South Extension. The driver was charging ₹150 as fare. As she thought the man was demanding double the amount, she stopped another auto rickshaw. The previous driver got agitated and allegedly punched her in the face and fled the spot. The police said that a case has been registered, but the driver hasn’t been arrested so far
