A stampede-like situation prevailed on the platform number 16 of the New Delhi Railway Station as former RJD MP Shahabuddin was brought to Delhi from Bihar’s Siwan Jail on Sunday morning amid high security.

He was taken to Tihar Jail in accordance with the direction of the Supreme Court.

A number of his supporters had gathered with placards to welcome him. Slogans in favour of Shahabuddin and against Nitish Kumar were raised.

Dekho dekho kaun aaya, Sher aaya Sher aaya (Look who is here! Lion is here!),” people started sloganeering as soon Shahabuddin, known as Bihar’s strongman, came out of the compartment.

“It is a conspiracy against Shahabuddin. He is being given unfair treatment,” said one his supporter at the station.
