Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was discharged from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday, a week after he was shifted there from Max Superspeciality Hospital, Saket, where he had been admitted for an infection.

‘Condition stable’

According to an AIIMS official, “the Minister has recovered well. His condition is stable and he has been advised to come back for follow up.”

Mr. Jaitley had undergone an elective laparoscopic procedure for diabetes management at the Max Superspeciality Hospital on September 2. He was readmitted a few days later following some health concerns.

Mr. Jaitley went straight to his new official residence on Krishna Menon Marg here after being discharged from the hospital.
