Urban dump yards: A stinking reality

Unscrupulous consumption and lack of urban planning make dumping grounds in a city inevitable. The Ghazipur landfill site on Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border bears the burden of ever-accumulating trash. The dump not only renders the land unusable, but also makes the environment stink and increases the probability of the spread of disease.
