The second edition of the Delhi India International Leather Fair presenting the latest trends and innovations in footwear and leather goods will be held at Pragati Maidan here from July 5 to 7.
To be inaugurated by Union Commerce & Industry Minister Anand Sharma, the fair featuring 100 companies including 40 leading brands from China, Italy and Singapore will be held at Hall No.12 and 12A (Foyer) of the sprawling exhibition ground.
Organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation in collaboration with the Council for Leather Exports, the fair’s theme this year is “A New Colour World -- Trends and Technology”. A theme pavilion highlighting India’s expertise in designing and development of high quality leatherwear has been set up.
With a comprehensive assortment of products and services relating to the leather industry, the three-day fair will display leather garments and fashion accessories. Leather goods like wallets, belts, gloves, handbags, finished leather, machinery and equipment for tanning, shoe making, dryers, stitching, sewing machines, finishing machines, chemicals for leather industry and consultancy services will also be available.
Apart from domestic buyers, the fair is expected to see the participation of many international players.
For visitors there will be an added attraction in the form of an Italian shoe fair -- “Expo Riva Schuh India”.
Apart from domestic exhibitors, the international shoe fair will feature 200 exhibitors from several countries including Italy, France, Spain, Britain, Austria, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Thailand.
