Kshitij Jain from DPS R.K. Puram tops Delhi, NCR with 98% in Science stream
“I saw my scores on the Internet in the morning and I was like wow! Are these really myscores? And then I got a call from a newspaper reporter telling me that I had come first, I did not believe him at first, but now I do!” said the CBSE topper, DPS R.K. Puram student Kshitij Jain, whose score of 98% made him the top scorer in the entire Delhi and National Capital Region. He scored 490 out of 500 and belongs to the Science stream.
He celebrated by dancing to the music of Punjabi drumbeats and eating all the sweets he could. He has already secured his future goals of becoming an engineer by passing the IIT-JEE this year. “I will be joining IIT this year,” he said.
Riya Sharma of Springdales School came first in the Humanities stream with 97.6%. She had a total of 488 out of 500, scoring 100 marks in Political Science and Psychology. “I want to do an English (Honours) course in Delhi University, the college does not matter since most of them are good,” she said, adding that she got to know that she had topped her stream from a reporter.
Himanshi Khatri from St. Michael School topped the Commerce stream with a total of 489 out of 500, getting 97.8%. “I have not decided what to do yet,” she said, adding that her school Principal had called her up about her result but she got to know that she topped the Commerce stream through a reporter.
The top scorer in the Delhi region is Ananth Srinivas Subramanian from Delhi International School, Sharjah.
