Delhi police seize arms from former MLA

The Delhi Police have seized one AK -47 and one SLR from a property owned by former MLA Rambir Shokeen.

The Delhi Police have seized one AK -47 and one SLR from a property owned by former MLA Rambir Shokeen.

The seizure was made by the Special Cell on the instance of recently arrested gangster Neeraj Bawana.

Confirming the news, a senior police officer said: "We have seized arms prohibited for private person's use like AK 47 and one SLR at the instance of Neeraj Bawana from the plot of Rambir Shokeen located in Bawana. "

"The seized arms were looted from Uttarakhand police at time of the escape of Amit Bhura," the officer added.

The Delhi Police had recently arrested Neeraj Bawana who is wanted in many cases of extortion, kidnapping and murder.

Mr. Shokeen, who was elected an Independent MLA in the 2013 polls from Mundka in North-West Delhi, joined the Congress in January.
