Ahead of the civic polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah will address a gathering of 60,000 party members at Ramlila Maidan here on Sunday.

An announcement to this effect was made by Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari at the State headquarters on Thursday. He also discussed the “Booth Karyakarta Sammelan” to be organised on March 19.

Addressing the meeting, BJP National Organization General Secretary Ramlal said, “I am fully confident that our workers are working hard and as a result today the number of BJP Governments is increasing day by day and 60% of the population of the country is under BJP rule today.”

Winning the elections to the Municipal Corporations of Delhi, he further said, was necessary because the present Delhi Government “is corrupt and incompetent.”

Mr. Tiwari said that the basic formula of success for any party in any election was the dedication of booth level workers. “The Booth Karyakarta Sammelan is being organized drawing inspiration for the same from Mr. Shah in which 5-5 workers from all the 13372 polling booths will participate,” he said.
