The war between suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has become a family clash now. On Monday, Mr. Kejriwal’s wife Sunita took a dig at Mr. Mishra on Twitter, saying he would face the consequences of the “false” allegations that he had levelled.

“Law of nature never errs, seeds of betrayal, false allegations sown, so shall he [Mr. Mishra] reap. Inevitable [sic],” she tweeted.

Reacting to this, Mr. Mishra tweeted, “Sunita Kejriwal is a very loyal wife, she would not say anything against her husband. She has no idea what vicious plans are being hatched in her own house [sic].”

‘Wife in the dark’

He added, “Sunita Kejriwal doesn’t know the truth, she is worried about her husband’s downfall [sic].”

Mr. Mishra also tweeted, “Sir [Mr. Kejriwal], please return her phone now.”

The exchange soon turned into a farrago of emotions, with Ms. Kejriwal questioning why the former Minister didn’t tell her about the alleged ₹2 crore given to her husband by Minister Satyendra Jain.

“You used to call me your sister, at least you could’ve told me that R2crores came into the house. On the 5th [May] when did you come? I did not even get to know. I used to generally ask you for tea [sic],” she tweeted.

At a press conference on Sunday, Mr. Mishra had accused the AAP of money laundering and lying to the Election Commission (EC) about donations.

He claimed that the party had over ₹45 crore in its bank account during financial year 2013-2014, but had declared only ₹9 crore to the EC.

He had also called Mr. Kejriwal corrupt and dared him to quit, failing which he “would drag him by the collar to Tihar Jail”. Minutes after all this, Mr. Mishra had fainted and was taken to a hospital.

Mishra to approach CBI

“Whenever I get discharged from the hospital, I will file a written complaint to the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Central Board of Direct Taxes under black money, hawala and money laundering cases [sic],” he tweeted on Monday.

Meanwhile, reacting to Ms. Kejriwal’s tweets, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said, “That Ms. Kejriwal called Kapil Mishra a traitor shows that she understands the importance of his evidence.”

Recently, Mr. Mishra’s mother Annapurna Mishra, a former BJP Mayor, wrote to Mr. Kejriwal asking him to break his silence on the corruption charges.
