The official vehicle of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Rajesh Garg was discovered sunk in a 15-feet-deep swamp in Outer Delhi’s Badli on Wednesday morning.

The car was found in a swamp in a corner of Siraspur Road in Badli. According to the police, nobody was in the car when it slipped.

“The car was parked on the side of the road near the swamp and the former MLA along with his associates had gone to a nearby area to meet the locals. The car somehow rolled off and fell into the swamp,” said a police officer.

Police rushed to the spot immediately after being informed by a local. “The car had to be pulled out using a recovery truck,” the officer added.

According to sources, people from the locality had earlier complained about the swamp but no action was ever taken by the concerned authorities. Many a times, children from the nearby localities were reported to have fallen into the swamp and were later rescued.
