AAP leads in poll code violations

Over 120 FIRs have been registered against political parties for violating the model code of conduct that is in place ahead of the Delhi polls. Out of which, 55 are against the Aam Aadmi Party, 24 against the BJP and 26 against the Congress.

Around 1,616 hoardings have been removed from public properties and 118 FIRs have been lodged in this regard, said an official at the Delhi Election Office. A total of 91 hoardings (defacements) of private property were removed. These are in addition to the removal being done by the local bodies.

“Till date, 186 bottles, 29,834 quarters of Indian made foreign liquor and 607 bottles, 76 half and 22,126 quarters of country liquor were seized as part of expenditure management measure,” said the official.
