The Delhi government is busy preparing for ‘Talk to AK’, an online interactive session to be held at 11 am on Sunday (July 17) aimed at reaching out to the people and engaging with them directly.

A special ‘Talk to AK’ website has been created along with pages on social media websites. Till date, the government has received around 12,000 questions through telephone and messages.

During the hour-long interactive session, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will take questions from the people.

The session will be telecast live on the Delhi government’s channel and Mr. Kejriwal’s facebook page.

Maximum questions

from Punjab, Gujarat

“By Sunday, we are expecting around 15,000 questions. We are clubbing similar questions under heads and they will be answered accordingly,” said government officials.

The maximum questions have come from Punjab and Gujarat. Many questions from Punjab are about how AAP aims to eradicate the drug menace.

A moderator will be part of the session. The moderator, whose name the officials refused to disclose, is likely to be a Bollywood celebrity.

Officials maintained that there was hardly any expenditure for the ‘Talk to AK’ initiative. “The celebrity moderator is not being paid and a few thousands will go into it as everything is being done online,” said the official.

The move to start ‘Talk to AK’ comes at a time when the AAP is expanding its base across India and is eyeing Punjab, Goa and Gujarat elections.
