Committee chaired by Kejriwal has cleared the names

The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday declared the first list of four candidates for the Goa Assembly elections expected to be held in early 2017.

AAP National Secretary Pankaj Gupta and Goa AAP convener Rajashree Nagarvekar told journalists here that the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the party had declared the names of Valmiki Naik for Panaji and Ajeetsingh Rane for Mayem, both in north Goa, Molu Velip for Shiroda and Cruz Silva for Velim.

AAP leader Oscar Rebello said the PAC chaired by AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had cleared the names.

Mr. Gupta said candidates for all 40 constituencies would be announced by the end of October.

The AAP is planning to contest all 40 seats in Goa.
