‘AAP commission legally invalid’

The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared that the Commission of Inquiry constituted by the Delhi government into the alleged CNG fitness scam is legally invalid. A statement issued by the office of the L-G says the MHA has conveyed its decision on the subject of the constitution of a Commission of Inquiry by the Government of NCT of Delhi into the award of work related to the CNG Fitness Certificate(s) in Transport Department, terming it legally invalid and ‘void ab initio’. The statement said that the ministry has clarified that the government is not the competent authority to set up such an inquiry.
