A promotion showcasing a range of “high-quality” American foods and beverages was inaugurated by the U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Donald Lu on Thursday at Godrej Nature's Basket store in Defence Colony here.
Leading U.S. food industry groups such as California Prune Board, Washington Apple Commission, California Table Grape Commission, California Tree Fruit Agreement (representing California peaches, plums and nectarines), Southern United States Trade Association as well as several individual U.S. brands are represented at the promotion.
Speaking to guests and store customers at the event, Mr. Lu said: “We are proud of the high quality of American food products, and we are happy to be able to bring more of America's delicious, healthy food options to Indian consumers.”
The promotion is being held in collaboration with Godrej Nature's Basket chain of stores in New Delhi and Mumbai. It will continue in Delhi up to September 5.
