Sack AAP govt: SDMC resolution

January 12, 2017 01:10 am | Updated 01:10 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation’s (SDMC) Standing Committee on Wednesday passed a resolution condemning the AAP government for “withholding” funds and asked the Centre to “sack” the government.

The resolution moved by Leader of the House Subhash Arya and passed with unanimity comes days after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in a tweet that the Delhi government had given the civic bodies all the funds allocated for them. Mr. Kejriwal had accused the BJP councillors of the corporations of diverting funds.

As per the SDMC resolution, the councillors said that Ministers of the Delhi government had been implicated in corruption cases.
