R-Day: heavy trucks from Gurugram cannot enter city

: No heavy trucks, except those ferrying essential goods, will be allowed to enter the Capital from neighbouring Gurugram on Monday in view of the full-dress rehearsal of Republic Day Parade, said the Haryana Police.

Similar restrictions will be in force on January 26.

While announcing the same here on Saturday, a Haryana Police spokesperson said the restriction on the plying of heavy vehicles would remain in force from 8:30 p.m. on Sunday to 12:30 p.m. on January 23 as well as from 8:30 p.m. on January 25 to 12:30 p.m. on January 26.
