: The Delhi Police have said that two women who went missing from their homes in north-west Delhi's Swaroop Nagar in 2014 have been traced to Jaipur.

According to the police, the women, who were suspected to have been kidnapped, were found living together in Jaipur.

The police said the women were traced following the registration of a complaint by the father of one after she did not return home from college on November 6, 2014.

“The 20-year-old did not reach college or return home, leading him to suspect that someone had abducted her. During the course of investigation, no clues came to light about her whereabouts, but recently, during checking of old cases, secret information about the whereabouts of the abducted woman was received,” said a senior police officer.

According to the information, the missing woman was residing somewhere in Jaipur along with her friend who hailed from Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Following the inputs, a team was deployed in the area who found the women with her friend Sunita on February 8. “The missing woman's friend was also suspected to have been abducted from Bharatpur with a formal police complaint in this regard,” the officer further said.

“Both the women were brought to Delhi and medically examined. During questioning, it was revealed that the Delhi resident used to visit her maternal grandmother at Bharatpur where she developed a friendship with the girl from there and both of them decided to spend their life together,” the officer added.

According to the police, on November 6, 2014, both of them left their homes and started living together in a rented accommodation in Jaipur, taking up small jobs to sustain themselves.
