The Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a gang allegedly involved in printing fake currency.

The gang had printed new Rs. 2000 and Rs. 500 notes and were planning to circulate them in the market. So far, fake notes with face value of Rs. 6.5 lakh were seized from the accused, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Surender Kumar.

Another 20,000 notes was spent in a local market, said Mr. Kumar.

Accused Kishan is an expert in Desktop publishing, the police said.
