7-year-old abducted, gang-raped in Delhi

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gangraped by three youths in east Delhi’s Yamuna Khadar late Sunday night.

The victim was sleeping with her parents outside their hut when the youths allegedly carried her away to a nearby forested area. There, they took turns to rape her, said the police. They also allegedly threatened to kill her if she shouted.

Panic However, when the girl fell unconscious and started bleeding incessantly, they abandoned her some distance from her home.

When the girl gained consciousness a few minutes later, she returned home and narrated the incident to her parents.

Meanwhile, the commotion had woken up the neighbours, one of whom called the police. The victim was rushed to a nearby government hospital, from where she was referred to AIIMS.

Rishi Pal, DCP (East), said all three accused, aged between 19 and 21, have been arrested. They been identified as Bhure, Amir and Bhim Sen. “Two of the accused are neighbours of the victim, while the third is their friend,” said the DCP.
