7 women teachers robbed

Seven women teachers were robbed of cash and valuables by armed robbers near Golf Course Road here on Thursday. The robbers fired several rounds in the air to scare the victims.

The victims, who teach in different senior secondary schools in Chhattarpur and Ghitorni, were on their way home in Gurgaon Sector 56 in a Maruti van around 2-30 p.m. when two young men on a motorcycle allegedly waylaid them and asked them to hand over the cash and valuables.

When the teachers offered resistance, the duo allegedly opened a few rounds in the air to scare them.

The two then made off with the cash and valuables.

A case has been registered in this connection.
