March 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:29 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The Delhi Government has decided to construct five new dispensaries in Azadpur Mandi for the labourers and staff of Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC). A separate fund will also be established for medical treatment of the mandi workers.

Rural Development Minister Gopal Rai said at a “Jan Sunwai” programme in Azadpur Mandi earlier this week that the availability of medical facilities would prove to be a major step for healthcare of vulnerable sections of population.

He also directed the APMC officers to issue proper licence cards to workers in the mandi and laid emphasis on ensuring cleanliness in the mandi.
