4 injured at IOC refinery

Four persons, including a manager, suffered burn injuries at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited refinery in Haryana’s Panipat district. Two of the four injured persons who sustained serious injuries have been referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.

According to the police, the victims sustained injuries after boiling water leaked from a pipe at the delayed coke unit of the refinery in the afternoon. Jaspreet and Amit were referred to Safdarjung Hospital, while Pradeep and Ankit escaped with 10% to 12% burns and were treated at a local hospital. Mr. Pradeep is a manager, while the rest are contractual labourers.
