Three labourers working at a nursery in Sohna here were found murdered on Friday. The police suspect robbery as the motive behind the triple murder.
Dharambir (50), Alauddin Khan (45) and Mohit (30) were found dead inside Sohna Grass Nursery by two women who had reported for work around 9 a.m. Dharambir belonged to Palwal in Haryana, while the others were from Uttar Pradesh.
Post-mortem report
The women found one of the bodies in the kitchen and the others in the fields outside. The duo raised an alarm and called the Police Control Room with help from locals.
A police team reached the spot along with forensic and crime teams. The police said the post-mortem report is awaited to ascertain the exact cause of death but the trio are suspected to have been strangulated with rope.
Satbir, who runs the nursery on lease, said he had gone to attend a wedding on Thursday evening and returned in the morning.
Gurugram Police spokesperson Ravinder Kumar said some electrical appliances and equipment used for cutting grass are missing. He hinted at robbery as the possible motive. “The bodies have been kept in the mortuary. The post-mortem will be conducted on Saturday. The matter is under investigation,” said Mr. Kumar.
