3 inhale poisonous gas at Sonepat factory, die

Three workers hailing from Bihar died after inhaling poisonous gas at a cardboard factory in Kharkhoda in Sonepat district, police said on Wednesday.

They said the gas leak occurred in the factory at Ferozepur Bangar village on Tuesday night when the three were on duty.

“Three workers died after they inhaled poisonous gas.

After the incident, they were rushed to a hospital but were declared dead on arrival,” Kharkhoda DSP Pradeep Kumar said.

All of the victims were in the age group of 24-27 years.

The police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the law and investigations are underway, Mr. Kumar said. - PTI
