25 anniversary of Vishnu Sahasranama

The Shri Vishnu Sahasranama Satsangam, Mayur Vihar Phase II, will be celebrating its 25 anniversary over seven days beginning this Tuesday.

There will be havans devoted to Sudarshan-Dhantri , Lakshmi-Kuber, Hayagreev and Shri Vishnu Sahasranamam along with cultural programmes consisting of music and discourses along with charitable programmes like feeding the poor and donating clothes.

On Sunday evening, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi language versions of Shri Vishnu SahsranamamSatsangam and other associated shlokas will be released in a book form titled “Stotra Ratna” . A discourse on the subject by Dr. U Ve Aravamudhachariar, a leading Sanskrit scholar of Delhi, will follow the release.

Vishnu Sahasranama was a movement started in 1980s by a group of devotees to conduct weekly recitation of Shri Vishnu Sahasranamam in congregation on Saturdays at their residences by rotation.
