A 16-year-old Class XI student jumped off the fourth floor of his residential building in north-west Delhi’s Ashok Vihar on Wednesday afternoon in an alleged attempt to commit suicide.

Severely injured, he is undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

He has undergone three operations in three days and is not fit for statement. The police have seized his gadgets to find the reason for his alleged suicide attempt.

“After a local inquiry and talking to his parents, it seems he was upset because of a recent school change,” said DCP (North West) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere.
