Ward 69 gets new library

Mayor S.M. Velusamy recently inaugurated a library that was constructed at Rs. 12.60 lakh at Ramasamy Nagar, off Pankaja Mill Road, in East Zone.

A release from the Corporation said that the library was constructed with funds under the MLA Constituency Development Fund. The Mayor also launched the distribution of Pongal goodies at a fair price shop on Thomas Street.

The Mayor said that there would soon be a library in each of the 100 wards in the city. As on date there were 52 libraries. And by opening the library at Ramasamy Nagar the 30-year-old demands of the people had been met.
