Members of India against Corruption (IAC) along with members of various organisations and institutions took out a march from SITRA Junction to VOC Park Grounds on Friday morning.
The “Walk for Change” primarily supported by students from schools and colleges was to stand in solidarity with Hazare and to make Coimbatore speak in one voice against corruption. The participants carried national tri-colour and placards hailing Hazare and flaying corruption.
On Saturday, Maitry Ladies Club at Navavoor Pirivu near Vadavalli is planning a rally against corruption and to support Gandhian activist Anna Hazare.
The rally will begin from Kalveerampalayam bus stand and will end at Vadavalli shandy. Similarly residents of Kovaipudur are also planning for a rally on Saturday.

Expressing support for Anna Hazare and his campaign against corruption, hundreds of people from different walks of life took out a rally in Tirupur on Friday evening.
At the end of the rally, people lit candles and asked the Union Government to accept the demands of Anna Hazare for a strong Lok Pal without laying down any conditions.
The anti-corruption crusade was organised by Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam and received the support of various movements like India Against Corruption, Tirupur Industrial Protection Committee, Tirupur Sewa Samithi, Rotary Clubs and also from chartered accountants and students, among others.
A. S. Krishnamoorthy, state treasurer of Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam, told The Hindu that everyone from Prime Minister to peon should be covered by the Lok Pal if corruption had to be eradicated.
The Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam was also of the opinion that Lokayukta should be there in every state and functioning under a unified law.
