Vellingiri hills to be cleaned

March 22, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:20 am IST - COIMBATORE:

Devotees of the temple in Vellingiri hills under the Thenkailaya Bhakthi Peravai will on Sunday clean the path that leads to the temple.

A release from the devotees’ forum said that the organisation had felt the need to clean the pathway as devotees who visited the temple every year left behind plastic carry bags, biscuit wrappers, water bottles and whatever they carried, which had led to piling up of waste in the ecologically sensitive area.

To remove waste and make the place clean, the devotees would gather at 8 a.m., the release said and added those interested may dial 99522-88433.
