Vaccine administration extended to more hospitals in Tirupur

The Health Department has extended the administration of the bulk stock of vaccine against A (H1N1) virus through three more Government Hospitals and two more Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the district on Thursday.

In all, 50,000 doses of the vaccine had arrived in the district for people covered under the ‘Kalaignar Kapittu Thittam.'

The administration of vaccines commenced on Wednesday at Tirupur District Headquarters Hospital and PHCs at Gudimangalam and Pogalur.

On Thursday, the administration of the vaccination was extended to Government Hospitals at Dharapuram, Kangeyam and Udumalpet and PHCs at Pongalur and Vellakoil. Deputy Director of Health V. Vijayalakshmi said that the administration of vaccine would be further extended to other PHCs based on the need.
