Move aimed at improving image of the force

As part of social outreach initiative, the City Police personnel from the Traffic Enforcement Wing on Sunday cleaned up and white-washed a school and an Adi Dravidar students hostel.

The initiative was taken up under the instructions of City Police Commissioner A.K. Vishwanathan to improve the image of the police force among the public.

Led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic - East), S. Ramakrishnan, around 45 traffic police personnel, including Traffic Inspector S. Ayyarasamy, cleaned up the Government Adi Dravidar Hostel for Girls at Singanallur.

The personnel also painted the hostel gates and planted 50 saplings on the premises.

Similarly, a group of 20 traffic police personnel led by Traffic Inspector (West) V. Saravanan cleaned up and white-washed the Panchayat Union Primary School at Kuruchi and planted around 10 saplings on the premises.
