TNHB allottees observe fast

They protest against ‘inordinate delay’ in issuance of title deeds

Those who obtained houses from Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) under Tamizhaga Veettu Vasathi Vaaria Orunkinaintha Othukeetalarkal Nalah Sangam observed fast in Coimbatore on Tuesday to draw the attention of the State Government to their demands.

According to a press release, the allottees wanted the Government to redress their grievances regarding the “inordinate delay” in the issuance of title deeds despite 22 years having elapsed since the loan was repaid.

A resolution deciding to meet Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at Chennai was also passed during the meeting. The allottees have also decided to exercise the ‘None Of The Above (NOTA)’ option in the Lok Sabha elections.
