Ties with BJP will continue: KMDK

The Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi, which contested the Lok Sabha elections as part of the BJP-led NDA, has expressed the hope that the alliance will continue till the Assembly elections.

The party’s general secretary, E.R. Easwaran, told reporters after chairing a general body meeting here on Sunday that the Union budget should give relief to farmers facing a severe drought.

He also hoped that the inter-linking of rivers would be discussed in the budget session of Parliament. Defending the Central Government’s move to hike the fuel prices and railway tariff, he said the Budget will have measures to boost growth and bring relief to the people.
