Three buildings sealed

In its continuing drive against unauthorised buildings in the city, the Coimbatore Corporation has sealed three buildings found violating the norms.

According to officials, a 16,000-sq ft building on Tiruchi Road was found to have illegally occupied nearly 5,000 sq ft. The building has been sealed and action initiated against its owners.

A commercial building on Sakthi Road in Ganapathy, which had obtained permission for a ground floor and first floor, had illegally constructed a ground-level parking lot and a second floor. The 4,689 sq ft-building has been sealed.
