The Hindu Young World painting contest on Sunday

This year’s edition of the popular painting competition for school students - The Hindu Young World Painting Competition - will be held at Avinashilingam University on February 23.

The competition is an integral part of Newspaper in Education programme of The Hindu that attracts talented young students. The competition is open to students from Class IV to VII in the juniors category and Class VIII to Class X in the seniors category.

The participants in the finals are selected from the entries received and they are given themes that have to be depicted with their paintings. Joint Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust R. Vijayakumhar will be the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony.

Presenting sponsor of the competition is MIOT Hospitals. Aroma Bakes is the snack partners.
