Tech fest ‘Anokha 2015’ starts tomorrow

The fifth annual national technical festival, Anokha 2015, will be held at Amrita University on March 5, 6 and 7. In the event aimed at motivating engineering students from various disciplines to come together to display their passion for science and technology, there will be over 75 events in all engineering branches, according to a release. Students from over 350 colleges and universities are expected to participate and they include those from institutions in the U.S. and Europe. There will be 18 workshops in cutting edge areas such as Quad Copter, RC aircraft, biped robot, industrial robotics, solar energy, ethical hacking, applications of number theory, augmented reality, etc.

There are gaming events and business and marketing events as well. Plus, there are competitions like quiz and treasure hunt, photography contest, hacking, coding and short film contest. V. Chandrashekar, executive vice-president, L&T Infotech, will inaugurate the event in the presence of M. Chandradathan, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, and Arun Nayar, Director, Safran Engineering Services, at 9.30 a.m.
