Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade recruitment begins

The police on Monday verified certificates and held physical tests of candidates short listed for recruitment into the Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade at the Police Recruit School grounds here.

Applicants wrote the examinations in November. Of the 525 candidates who were given call letters in Coimbatore city, 428 turned up for the physical examination.

In Coimbatore rural, 1,347 candidates were given call letters.

Of them 600 were asked to report on Monday. The remaining 747 were expected to report on Tuesday.

Over 45 CCTV cameras were installed at the grounds to maintain vigil.
