A symposium was held here on Saturday by the KG Hospital and Postgraduate Medical Institute to discuss the advances in cardiac imaging. Digital imaging of the heart for understanding the pathology is an important diagnostic technique for doctors.

A powerful computer demonstrates the status of the blood vessels (coronary arteries), which supply blood to the muscles of the heart (endocardium). Any disruption in the blood supply to the heart can cause cardiac problems.

Around 135 delegates took part to discuss about the use of 128 slice cardiac CT scan and cardiac MRI.
