DMK working president and Leader of Opposition M.K. Stalin criticised the State Government every other day because, he like his father and DMK president M. Karunanidhi, wanted to grab media attention, Minister for Cooperation Sellur K. Raju told journalists in Coimbatore on Saturday.

Addressing the media at the Coimbatore International Airport, he said whoever criticised the Government - be it Mr. Stalin or AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran, it would overcome those to deliver good governance.

Recently, the State Government had won appreciation for the performance of its cooperative establishments.

The cooperative banks had performed well under this government. This was not the case when the DMK was in power.

The two factions - AIADMK (Amma) and AIADMK (Puratchi Thalaivi Amma) would soon unite to turn a formidable force. The AIADMK cadre need not be unduly worried about this.

Responding to a question on actor Kamal Hassan, Mr. Raju said that he was a good actor who had chosen the wrong path. He would soon realise his mistake. The actor had recently criticised the State Government.
