Southern Railway, Salem Division, has announced the operation of three pairs of bi-weekly special trains to Chengalpattu and one pair of special train to Tiruchirapalli till January, 2014.
Train number 06628 Coimbatore – Chengalpattu bi-weekly special will be operated from Coimbatore at 15.40 hours on Sundays and Tuesdays from November 28 to January 21. It will depart Coimbatore at 15.40 hours and reach Chengalpattu at 03.05 hours.
In the return direction, train number 06627 will leave Chengalpattu at 14.45 hours and reach Coimbatore at 3.00 hours the next day. It will be operated on Mondays and Wednesdays from November 25 to January 22. On either direction, it will stop at Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchirapalli, Virudhachalam, Villuppuram, Melmaruvathur and Chengalpattu.
Another pair of special train 06630 from Coimbatore to Chengalpattu will be on Thursdays and Mondays from November 28. In the return direction, train number 06629 will leave Chengalpattu on Fridays and Tuesdays from November 29. Timings and stoppages for the train will be the same as of train number 06627/28. The third train from Coimbatore to Chengalpattu (train no 06632) will leave on Saturdays at 13.15 hours from November 30 and reach Chengalpattu at 01.30 hours the next day. Train number 06631 from Chengalpattu to Coimbatore in the return direction will leave on Sundays at 14.45 hours and reach Coimbatore at 3.00 hours the next day.
Train number 06634 Tiruchirapalli – Coimbatore weekly special will leave Tiruchirapalli at 9.15 hours on Thursdays from November 28 and reach Coimbatore at 14.15 hours the same day. In the return direction, train number 06633 will leave Coimbatore on Wednesdays at 04.00 hours and reach Tiruchirapalli at 08.15 hours. The train will have stoppages at Tirupur, Erode, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur, Kulithalai and Tiruchi.
Train number 06636 will leave Tiruchirapalli on Sundays from November 24. In the return direction, train number 06635 will leave Coimbatore at 04.00 hours on Thursdays from November 29. Timings and stoppages will remain the same as of 06633 and 06634.
