Seminar on women empowerment begins at Coimbatore

A two-day seminar on “Socio-Economic Empowerment of Women – Initiatives for Impoverished”, organised by the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension and the Department of Economics of Avinashilingam University for Women, begins in Coimbatore today.

According to a release issued here, it will be inaugurated by Rashmi Agrawal, Director, Institute of Applied Manpower Research, Planning Commission, Government of India.

Suniti Phadke, Director of Office of the International Affairs, Christ University, Bangalore, will preside over the valediction.
