District Collector Archana Patnaik has announced that the second round of work for distribution of Aadhaar cards will begin on February 1 in Annur taluk and on February 10 in Mettupalayam taluk. Camps would be for taking the biometric details.

People whose names were included in the 2010 census and those who missed the first round of Aadhaar and NPR enumeration and those who gave their NPR forms in the first round of enrolment drive could make use of the second round for giving their biometric details.

Prior to the commencement of the drive, volunteers will visit each and every house to issue Know Your Resident form. Public should fill the form and give the PDS family card number and take it to the camp on the designated date and give biometric details.

While visiting the camp, the public should take the acknowledgement slip issued during the census along with any one of the following proofs: family card, voter ID card, driving licence, passport, farmers’ identity card, old-age pension card or differently-abled identity card.

People not included in the 2010 census, could visit the enrolment camp site and submit NPR forms.

The forms after scrutiny would be taken up for inclusion in the census records and they could get the Aadhaar card enrolment done in the third round.

People residing in a particular area and missed the enrolment drive on a particular date (during the second round) could visit any other camp in the same area (taluk) and get their biometric details recorded.
