‘Run for Unity’ marks birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

About 300 people, including 30 women, took part in the ‘Run for Unity’ that was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, here on Friday. The rally was flagged off at Sakthi Sugars, from where the participants ran around Race Course to the spot where they started the run. The party’s state secretary G.K.S. Selvakumar, district president R. Nandhakumar, district secretary R.T. Murali and others participated in the event.

About 150 officials of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax participated in the run here on Friday. The officials took a pledge and participated in the run at Race Course Road. It started from the Central Excise office.
