District Collector Archana Patnaik has said that people not desirous of buying any commodity from the Public Distribution System (PDS) outlets and still having an ‘N’ family card “N” (No commodity card) for the purpose of address proof could renew the same >online.
They will be issued a computer generated print out denoting the extension following which it will be treated as valid. Those not being able to renew online could visit the grievance meeting for PDS card holders. This facility will be available till January 31, 2014.
