Relief materials sent to Uttarakhand

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity on Monday sent four tonnes of relief materials such as heavy duty rain proof tarpaulins, rice, dal, woollen blankets, umbrellas, and raincoats besides solar lanterns to the flood-ravaged Uttarakhand. Air India had offered to airlift free of cost the materials to New Delhi. The club had already sent a few loads of rice and other materials to Purna Vidya Tapasyalayam Ashram.The club managed to raise the money to purchase all these materials through a public campaign. All the materials being sent were brand new.
