Reliance Value Formats on Saturday opened its first Reliance Mart in Coimbatore with 20,000 products on the shelves at the Fun Republic Mall on Avanashi Road.

According to a release from Rob Cissell, Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Value Formats, this is the 25 Mart in the country after the one in Tiruchirapalli.

The focus is on Tier I and II cities and there are plans to open Marts in Salem and Tirunelveli.

Products

Reliance Mart in Coimbatore have over 20,000 products such as food and fresh produces to grocery, consumer electronics to stationery and toys, personal care products such as fragrance and cosmetics besides auto accessories. The other products available included apparel, furniture, furnishings, home ware, kitchenware, luggage and travel accessories.

The speciality of the Mart in Coimbatore is it has fresh fruits and vegetables section. There is also a shop-in-shop for non-vegetarian products. The Mart has also launched a RelianceOne, a membership loyalty programme.
